Master Stars Piece MSP Hinata Shoyo - Haikyuu!! - Banpresto

Hello! Here are actual pictures of Banpresto's Master Stars Piece of Hinata Shoyo from Haikyuu. As what you would expect from a figure of this scale and price, the paint job is not that super great, but it's actually good. In fact, I like this figure very much. The consistency in paint job could differ for each figure, but this is nothing out of the ordinary that you would expect from a prize figure.

I got this figure for around P1,000 which is usually how much Master Stars Pieces sell for (except the special limited ones which could go as high as P2,500 - P3,000).

Hinata is one of the main characters in the anime show Haikyuu!! He is supposedly small but has incredible jumping power which earned him the distinction of being the best decoy. His combination with Tobio Kageyama, however, is also a deadly weapon for their team. You can actually pose this figure of Hinata together with Tobio since there is also a Master Stars Piece of Tobio Kageyama - although we weren't able to include a picture of it in this review. Both Master Stars Piece Hinata and Tobio are carrying balls so I assume that they are in practice mode and not in an actual game.

For those of you who are looking for a more dynamic pose of Hinata, do not expect it from Banpresto's Master Stars Piece. The pose that you will see in the pictures below are typical of what you can get from Banpresto's Master Stars Piece (MSP) - the characters are just standing. You can notice this similarity in some other MSPs such as:

  1. Gintama's Gintoki
  2. Dragon Ball MSPs
  3. One Piece MSPs
  4. Practically all other MSPs
  5. Kuroko MSPs
This MSP is actually quite similar to Kuroko from Kuroko no Basket since both are standing while holding a ball up their waste. The only thing missing from Hinata is that he does not come with his jacket. So far, in the MSP line, Banpresto has only released figures of Hinata and Tobio. As for the other figures, you can find them in Banpresto's DXF line although I am not sure if they are in the same scale as MSPs. Usually, MSPs are a bit larger than DXF figures from Banpresto.

So, here are the pictures and review of Banpresto's MSP Shoyo Hinata. Please feel free to browse our pictures and see for yourself whether you like this figure:

Whole body (front and back):

This figure that I got could actually stand on its own even without a base, which is good news since some MSP's cannot stand without their base.

If you look closely, you will notice that the ball actually has a peg that you can attach to Hinata's shorts. It is actually a must to display him with the ball, otherwise he would look like an idiot with his hand on his waist holding nothing :p.

His hair is actually quite sharp so do be careful in cleaning him. I have a hard time cleaning characters with sharp hairs because my duster tends to get stuck on them. If you could be more creative in cleaning your figures with sharp hairs, then that's good for you.

Back view of his, well... back.

Here are close-up shots of the shoes.

Wow, the paintjob may not be perfect but I am definitely loving the detail on those shoes!

This figure also comes with a base. Luckily, mine can stand even without the support of the base. It's kinda sad that they can't be more creative with the base. I really don't like the base that looks like there is something stuck on his shoe. Then again, with the price of this MSP figure, you can't be too picky with it. This is actually a common design for the bases/stands of MSP figures. I noticed a similar base on my MSP Gintama.

Thank you very much! 'Til next time!

In conclusion: I like this figure. If you are a fan of Haikyuu, you should get this one together with Master Stars Piece Tobio Kageyama. You can make the two of them stand side by side and their prices aren't that huge.

Megahouse GEM Naruto - The Last

For today, we have actual product shots of Megahouse's Naruto - The Last Movie Ver. This item is quite simple with few accessories. However, don't let the simplicity fool you. The item is actually quite nice and the details are good (as expected of GEM). I got this piece for around P4,000. The Last movie takes place two years after the final battle between Naruto and Sasuke. Below is a picture of the item outside its box. As you can see, it only consists of three things: the item itself the base of the item, and  the plastic support for the running pose of the figure. The base uses metal pegs to support Naruto standing up on one leg only. I really appreciate this since I had a figure before that stood up only on one leg too. The peg got broken and I can't display the figure anymore without looking for a solution. With the metal pegs, the chances of the peg breaking is practically zero.  The design of the base is simple but, then again, I have seen much wors

Figuarts Zero Perhona (Thriller Bark) from One Piece

Hello everyone! I'm back with another post. This time, I'm going to be doing a quick review of Figuarts Zero's Perhona from One Piece. This is the Thriller Bark edition and not the New World / Sailing Again edition. If you ask me, I prefer Perhona in the Thriller Bark arc since I think her costume is better and her color scheme is quite good at that time. She looks like candy by looking at her predominantly pink colors. And I also prefer her younger version during the Thriller Bark arc as compared to the more mature version of herself after the timeskip. Perhona (sometimes just Perona) first appeared in the Thriller Bark storyline. She used to serve under Gekko Moriah, the Shichibukai, but now she is seen tagging along Dracule Mihawk. It seems that Perhona has also developed somewhat of a relationship with Zoro since the both of them were taking up residence in Dracule Mihawk's mansion after the Sabaody Arc. Perhona's devil fruit power (Hollow Hollow Fruit / Hor
