About the Blog

This blog is intended for enthusiasts and collectors of Anime toys, figures, or collectibles. We all have different reasons for collecting these wonderful pieces of art, but I do hope that one of the reasons why you are collecting is because you sincerely love these items.

In this blog, we will be reviewing and showcasing most of the items in our collections. Most of the major brands that will be reviewed in this site are as follows:

  1. Megahouse
  2. Kotobukiya
  3. Bandai
  4. Goodsmile
  5. Banpresto
Of course, other collectibles such as Lego, or Takara Tomy, or other brands may also be included in this site.

For Megahouse brand items, it is usually known for high-quality scale figures. The Scale figures are mostly 1/8 in scale so they are quite larger than the average toy or figure.

For Kotobukiya, they are very similar to Megahouse in terms of items that they carry but Kotobukiya is much more broader and, recently, much more dynamic in coming up with new designs or new characters to be depicted. Kotobukiya also has their own line of model kits, action figures, and smaller scale statues.

For Bandai, this is actually a very broad company but this blog will focus on Figuarts Zero and SH Figuarts items. Figuarts Zero are mostly static PVC figurines of anime characters or other pop culture characters. For SH Figuarts, however, this refers to articulated action figures which can be posed and moved depending on the owner of the figure.

For Goodsmile, they mainly carry three major brands that are of interest to this blog. They are:
  1. Nendoroids - they are cute action figures which renders characters in a cute deformed chibi. They usually come with interchangeable faces/accessories.
  2. Figmas - are action figures which try to depict the characters based on how they are actually seen on TV or in the Manga. These are not like Nendoroids which attempt to transform the character into a cuter chibi version of themselves.
  3. Scale Statues - Goodsmile Company, aside from the Nendoroids and Figmas also carry their own Scale Statues similar to Megahouse and Kotobukiya. When I say Scale Statues, I am referring to static PVC Figurines - the ones which don't have movable joints in their hands and/or legs. These Scale Statues are treated in the same way as figurines in that they are displayed but they are rarely played like a doll.
For Banpresto, the items of interest to this blog are the prize items. Recently Banpresto is coming up with various product lines and it may become too much to categorize for this blog. That is why we chose to just lump them all up together in this category. However, some Banpresto lines that you may be familiar with are as follows:
  1. Master Stars Piece
  2. DXF Line
  3. Scultures Line
  4. SQ Line
  5. Dramatic Showcase Line
We are not quite sure with the technical descriptions of these items but the one thing they have in common is that they are prize figures. They have a lower selling price but the quality is already very good. Normally, prize figures should not be available in retail outlets but there are times when Banpresto allows these products to be sold in retail stores and not in arcade outlets.

So, those are the major brands/items that we are interested in showing to you. Collecting anime figures/toys/collectibles is a very satisfying pursuit. While we cannot tell you what to do with your collections, it will always make us happy to see a person taking out a figure from its box and displaying it where other people can see it.

We hope this blog would be a valuable resource to your collection needs.

Thank you for taking the time to read!

Megahouse GEM Naruto - The Last

For today, we have actual product shots of Megahouse's Naruto - The Last Movie Ver. This item is quite simple with few accessories. However, don't let the simplicity fool you. The item is actually quite nice and the details are good (as expected of GEM). I got this piece for around P4,000. The Last movie takes place two years after the final battle between Naruto and Sasuke. Below is a picture of the item outside its box. As you can see, it only consists of three things: the item itself the base of the item, and  the plastic support for the running pose of the figure. The base uses metal pegs to support Naruto standing up on one leg only. I really appreciate this since I had a figure before that stood up only on one leg too. The peg got broken and I can't display the figure anymore without looking for a solution. With the metal pegs, the chances of the peg breaking is practically zero.  The design of the base is simple but, then again, I have seen much wors

Master Stars Piece MSP Hinata Shoyo - Haikyuu!! - Banpresto

Hello! Here are actual pictures of Banpresto's Master Stars Piece of Hinata Shoyo from Haikyuu. As what you would expect from a figure of this scale and price, the paint job is not that super great, but it's actually good. In fact, I like this figure very much. The consistency in paint job could differ for each figure, but this is nothing out of the ordinary that you would expect from a prize figure. I got this figure for around P1,000 which is usually how much Master Stars Pieces sell for (except the special limited ones which could go as high as P2,500 - P3,000). Hinata is one of the main characters in the anime show Haikyuu!! He is supposedly small but has incredible jumping power which earned him the distinction of being the best decoy. His combination with Tobio Kageyama, however, is also a deadly weapon for their team. You can actually pose this figure of Hinata together with Tobio since there is also a Master Stars Piece of Tobio Kageyama - although we weren't ab

Figuarts Zero Perhona (Thriller Bark) from One Piece

Hello everyone! I'm back with another post. This time, I'm going to be doing a quick review of Figuarts Zero's Perhona from One Piece. This is the Thriller Bark edition and not the New World / Sailing Again edition. If you ask me, I prefer Perhona in the Thriller Bark arc since I think her costume is better and her color scheme is quite good at that time. She looks like candy by looking at her predominantly pink colors. And I also prefer her younger version during the Thriller Bark arc as compared to the more mature version of herself after the timeskip. Perhona (sometimes just Perona) first appeared in the Thriller Bark storyline. She used to serve under Gekko Moriah, the Shichibukai, but now she is seen tagging along Dracule Mihawk. It seems that Perhona has also developed somewhat of a relationship with Zoro since the both of them were taking up residence in Dracule Mihawk's mansion after the Sabaody Arc. Perhona's devil fruit power (Hollow Hollow Fruit / Hor
