Hi everyone! I have here pictures of Banpresto's Dramatic Showcase showing Vegeta and Trunks' emotional scene. This is when Vegeta was about to make the supreme sacrifice in fighting Buu. The figure depicts the first time that Vegeta has ever hugged his son, Trunks, as what he said in the series. Seriously, what kind of a parent is that?
Despite his parenting skills, however, you cannot deny that Vegeta is one of the cooler characters in Dragon Ball Z. Forever Gokou's rival, I hope he will get the chance to shine in the new Dragon Ball Super series. The Prince of the Saiyans surely does not disappoint in his being epic.
Anyway, overall, the quality of the figure is good, especially for its price since I got this at around P1,000/each. Vegeta and Trunks come separately. Please feel free to browse the pictures of the actual product that we took. Do take note that some differences between the pictures and the actual items may be noticeable because of the lighting. Being a prize figure, you can't expect this figure to be released regularly or for this to have a re-release in the future. You should get this figure now while you still have the chance. You'll never know once it will be difficult to look for in the secondary market.
With Banpresto figures, also, you have to consider that not everything is a perfect fit once you put them in their stands. You may have to push Trunks slightly forward in order to make this pose - or you may have to spread Vegeta's/Trunks' legs a bit for it to fit the base/stand.
I actually had this displayed beside One Piece's dramatic showcase between Luffy and Shanks (similar pose with Shanks giving Luffy the hat) and I was surprised to see that this figure is much much taller as compared to the One Piece Dramatic Showcase. Are Dragon Ball characters taller or bigger in scale than One Piece characters? Or are these figures not just up to scale? I think they are not just up to scale considering the figure's low price.
In any case, I just realized that the Dramatic Showcase line has a lot of father figures, take note of the following examples:
Did I miss any more Dramatic Showcase with father figures? I'm sure there is more somewhere that I overlooked. Well, at least they would probably make a good Father's Day gift.

Don't let the angle fool you. The shot may come across as making Vegeta's face a bit funny but it is only because of the angle of the shot. I'm actually quite impressed with the quality of the figures that Banpresto is churning out these days. Considering the price, I'm 200% convinced that this is definitely worth it. Although Banpresto prize figures such as this may have some minor paint issues, these are to be expected and I have not experienced anything hideous so far.
A close-up of Trunks' face also shows that it is magnificently done. Seriously, I really like this figure (if it's not that obvious). I actually have another set of Dramatic Showcase featuring Luffy and Shanks from One Piece and I think the quality of this one is way way better - although it may be unfair to compare them since the Luffy and Shanks piece came out quite later.
Although Vegeta's arms cover it in this shot, I hope you can notice that Trunks' hands could not actually touch Vegeta's leg/torso in this one. Still, the figure is still wonderful despite the difficulty in posing them in the most perfect sense.
In conclusion: this is a no-brainer. You really have to get this one. With the price, the quality, and the scene it depicts, it's definitely worth the bang for the buck. Although, don't expect a super perfect figure since it's just a prize figure.
